FREE Registration:

March 31 – April 1 at the Beatrice Public Library, 100 N. 16th Street

 

Walking Campaign Dates:

April 2 – April 30

 

Program Highlights:

 

Walking Journals

During this free walking campaign women, men, and youth are encouraged to begin a regular walking routine for fun and fitness. Participants will receive an information packet, including program details and a walking journal, when they register for the program.

 

 Group Walks

As part of the campaign, the following group walks are scheduled. Volunteers will be on hand from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. to register walkers.

  • April 2* from Chautauqua Park Tabernacle to Beatrice Water Park

  • April 9 from Riverside Park Shelter to the Court Street Bandstand

  • April 16 from the Chautauqua Park Tabernacle to the Court Street Skate Park

  • April 23 in conjunction with “March for Parks” beginning at the Homestead National Monument

  • April 30 Participants are encouraged to walk on a trial of their choice. No registration on this date.

 

*Pedometers will be given to those 18 and older (while supplies last) who register at the April 2 walk.

 

Adult Prizes & Youth Prizes

Participants will be entered to win fantastic adult and youth prizes when registering for the program, and again each time they register at a scheduled group walk. The adult “grand prize” is a weekend at Mahoney Park!
