"WALK-ABOUT GAGE COUNTY"

Week "Five" (May 4, 2002)

We had a much better day ( weather-wise) for our walk this last Saturday and we had approximately thirty (30) walkers participate. That was less than we had hoped for, but considering folks have other obligations this time of year, like yard/garden work and spring-time home repairs, it was understandable. We will be meeting in the Hannibal Park parking lot for this coming week's event on Saturday May 11th. Let's all show up and support the effort this coming week and REMEMBER to keep up your log. When you come to the final walk on May 18th, make sure to bring your completed log. When you turn in your log, you will be eligible for many great prizes. There will be screen printed  t-shirts, water bottles, pedometers, and gift certificates given away on the 18th, so keep up that LOG. Remember you can log miles, blocks or steps...and you don't have to log 120 miles to be eligible for the prizes, just hand in your completed log.
