| The second annual Teens Night Out will be held for middle
school youth from across Gage County on Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at
the Beatrice High School Commons area. Registration begins at 6:45 pm. A
program packed full of activities will start promptly at 7pm with a brief
address by Jill Duis, Beatrice Community Hospital Emergency Room
Coordinator.
Following, middle school students will participate in a variety of fun,
hands-on activities with an anti-drug and
alcohol message. Stations include the canine drug dog, rollover
simulator, quiz bowl, simulator goggles, drug display, Risky Bizness game
& graffiti poster signing.
The evening will conclude by 9 pm, but not before students get a sundae
for their efforts! Prizes will also be included at the close of the
event.
All middle school youth are invited to attend as part of a church group,
youth organization or individually. No pre-registration is necessary.
This event is organized by the Gage
County Coalition, with assistance from a variety of local agencies and
businesses. It is partially funded through Nebraska Region V Systems.
