The Homestead Trail System |
| There are 2.5 miles (based on round trips from the Visitor Center) of trails for your hiking/walking enjoyment at Homestead National Monument of America. There are two marked trails through the park: |
| The Freeman Farm Loop _ _ _ _ _ _ _ This loop takes you through one mile of level lowland prairie and woods, passing several of the sites where the Freeman family lived and worked. |
The
Upland Prairie Loop
This loop takes you on a two mile round trip walk
through the restored tallgrass prairie uplands, passing the Freeman
Graves and Osage Orange hedgerow. |
