What is Crime Stoppers of Gage County

Crime Stoppers of Gage County is a non-profit organization run solely by an all volunteer citizen board.  The goal of Crime Stoppers is to combine the efforts of the police, citizens, and media in our community's fight against crime.  Crime Stoppers encourages people to call in – anonymously— and give law enforcement agencies information on crime in exchange for a reward up to $1000.  All money utilized by Crime Stoppers (i.e. rewards, business expenses) is raised through fund raising projects and donations from service clubs.  Information received through Crime Stoppers is forwarded to either the Gage County Sheriff's Office, The Beatrice Police Department, or the Wymore Police Department.

How Crime Stoppers Works

If you have information about any unsolved crime, call Crime Stoppers of Gage County at (402)228-4343  and you could be eligible for a cash reward.  No one will ask your name and we don't take your phone number or have caller ID or call return.  You will be given a code number for identification.  You will need to follow up on your tip with the Coordinator during day time hour.  If your information leads to an arrest or request for charges, the Coordinator will advise the Board of Directors, who will vote on the amount of the reward.  When you call back, you will be notified of a location to pick up your cash without anybody knowing who you are.
